Java U in Montreal

Very disappointing this morning, my girlfriend and I won't go back for sure. So many great options downtown!

Tasty Ice creams, they also have discount for Concordia studants.

Nice coffee shop, they have great coffee, good sandwiches, amazing cupcakes! I wish the restaurant would close at a later time. The staff is friendly and well located

Much has changed here with new ownership - friendly, clean, great low cost coffee and a whole new attitude - thankfully (its no longer the "angry" coffee shop....). Going back more often for sure, and discounts for Concordia students!!!

I ordered a sandwich and a iced cap. I paid 14$.The iced cap was okay.The sandwich was okay.Overall too expensive for food that's just okay. The staff are very friendly and the place is clean.

Coffee is pretty okay, and quite cheap. I used to really like their berry oat muffins but they clearly changed the recipe and reduced the amount of fruit (we now are working on an average of 1 berry per muffin). Damn.

If you want to enjoy a good Americano Downtown, Java U is a good place! Nice view on the busy street of downtown.

Java U was the original coffee that made me stop drinking Tims and McDs coffee. Whether its a coffee or their famous J'Ice (better than any Iced Capp or Frozen Coffee you'll get ANYWHERE) Java U is always amazing. Their coffee is outstanding and the owners and staff are warm and welcoming. Great service

I have an allergy to dairy and the one serving me put dairy in my coffee instead of almond milk. I am very disappointed. Service terrible here.

Don't go there. I've gone there a few times to try different things but it was all bad.Overpriced food, (regular sandwiches cost you $10, a tiny scoop of ice cream costs you $6). Unclean (tables were dirty and the place where they keep their milk and napkins was absolutely trashed, no one even cared and just overall a bad experience.)Also the short Asian lady at the cash is generally very rude. Was yelling at employees in front of customers one time I was there. Unprofessional at its best.

Very nice and quiet cafe especially for those who wanna do some job or study.

Hats off to the baristas who always make me feel welcome and are usually pretty chipper! Definitely brightened my day during finals! Fast, excellent coffee and always a pleasure to stop by.

Got the special with breakfast sandwich and small coffee for $5.49. Coffee is got and fresh, bacon+egg sandwich met my expectations for a pre-made sandwich. Service from both girls with a warm smile. Tables were clean, place was quite and brightly lit.

The cleanliness of this coffee leaves something to be desired. I rather suggest the Starbucks across the street.

The food was so expensive for the quality! And person who made my food didn't even wear gloves, how dare they?? I saw them scratching their head really hard before making it too! Who knows what's under those nails! My coffee was cold when they handed it to me but I ordered it hot... And when I sat down, the tables were a little dirty... I looked down at my lap and dust had fallen on my pants! These are so hard to wash properly! I didn't complain a lot to them because they looked like they were all having a really bad day... I left a good tip just because they looked so sad. Even so, I won't be coming here again.

They have a student discount after 3 pm

There's only one girl working and took forever to take our order. We were trying the few flavors of gelato and she got annoyed when I told her I want to try the pistachio flavor (she laughed in like an annoying way)Aren't you supposed to try them before ordering to see if you like it? I said it out loud on purpose but my husband said "it's ok".I got the nutella gelato and it tastes disgusting!! Definitely expired!We're NEVER coming to this place again.And to top it off.. the cups are barely full.

I went here on a Monday morning for a cappuccino. The girl behind the counter was very polite and even asked me if I'm a student and have a student card so I could get a discount. I would regularly come here if I lived in the area.

What kind of a coffee shop offers two pints of beer for $10? This one.

Sat Sept 21 around 9:25am I went there. There was a woman with dark hair at the register. Politely asked if they had blueberry muffins? No answer. I'm stood there in silence. The guy with her (I think she was training him) looks at me and doesn't know what to do. Then she tells me how much I need to pay. I ask her if they have blueberry muffins. She said the price is for a blueberry muffin. I give her my money. She gives me back 1 note and as much coin change as she can. Then she giggles at me (no joke). I go.

I really like it. Not only do they have great coffee but the service is really professional. One of the beat in montreal by far

It might be because I went to water float before coming here, but I thought their shake was absolutely the best. I actually went to a location in Toronto, but that place closed down. It's a little pricey, but the vibe there is great for a date!
